Remembering Allen Lew

The Federal City Council members and staff are saddened to hear of the loss of Allen Lew. Allen brought competence and character to the leadership roles he held in the District of Columbia over the last three decades. He was responsible for many of the people’s monuments in Washington, DC, from our schools to our baseball stadium and our convention center to our water infrastructure. His positive influence will be with us for a long time to come. In Tony Williams’ words, “He served a series of mayors, especially Mayor Vince Gray, and our city with impact and distinction. He will be missed.”

Please see his obituary by Marc Fished in the Washington Post.
