The FC2 has deep experience working cooperatively with the NPS, beginning with the revitalization of Pennsylvania Avenue in the 1960s, and continuing with the leadership of individual trustees who have direct involvement in organizations like the Trust for the National Mall and Georgetown Heritage. LIP has built a team of best-in-class industry experts that are ready to execute the program’s technical and operational components.
LIP’s bold vision incorporates NPS’s objective of preserving these courses and telling their story for future generations. Indeed, the same values that led to the creation of the courses—inclusivity, accessibility and racial equity—motivate our work today. This is the type of work that the Federal City Council and Langston Initiative Partners exist to do, and we have the capacity and expertise to do it well. We look forward to another successful partnership with the NPS and to proliferating the legacy of golf in the Nation’s Capital.
