Amazon: Donating Tech Devices to DC Students

Last week, DC Public Schools (DCPS) received one of the largest device donations Amazon has given nationwide. It donated 3,500 learning devices and tablets to elementary, middle and high school students and their families. It also donated thousands of routers to  teachers to ensure they stayed connected. This will help ensure everyone will have the resources needed to succeed and complete coursework over the summer.

The tech device donation follows other Amazon donations since the beginning of the COVID crisis. It gave $1 million to four regional community foundations, kickstarting their emergency response funds to support vulnerable populations. Additionally, Amazon provided support to area food banks, including the Capital Area Food Bank, Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen.
