D.C. Policy Center: Income Segregation on the Rise in U.S.
Income segregation is replacing racial segregation in the 58 largest metropolitan areas in the U.S., including the Washington, D.C., region. Economic polarization increased during the same period (1970 to 2010) as racial segregation declined, according to an analysis from the D.C. Policy Center.

DC Police Foundation Launches Expeditioner Program; Spend an Evening with the Chief
The DC Police Foundation’s new Expeditioner Program allows young adults from 6th grade to age 20 to experience policework firsthand. From recreating a crime scene to practicing investigative skills, the program builds leadership and an interest in law enforcement.
The Foundation is hosting An Evening with Chief Peter Newsham on November 28, 2017, at the home of Heather Podesta. All proceeds will benefit the Foundation and Metropolitan Police Department Youth Programs and Community Outreach. For more information and to register, click HERE.
